Punk-anarchist Paul, estranged from his middle-class upbringing and all the hypocrisies that go with it, is halted in his chase away from the painful events of his youth when out of nowhere he is informed of his uncle's untimely and somewhat suspicious death.
On his return to the country of his birth Paul is able to see for himself just what has become of Great Britain in the year two-thousand and seventeen.
Reluctantly at first and with revenge on his mind, he reconciles his anarchist beliefs and agrees to helping a resistance network attempt to free the peoples of Great Britain from the tyranny of the fascist government that holds power and its secret police force.
And then one day, the day of reckoning comes and Great Britain has its revolution and wins its freedom. With all the violence and bloodletting at an end Paul is left still asking himself the same questions that have always plagued his mind: Do people really change; has he changed? As a hero in a new world where is his home; will he ever find home?
